Expert Personal Training

If you are middle aged & no longer look or feel at your best, I can help.

Your personal training journey with Richard begins with a free consultation, where you can talk about your health & fitness targets, as well as your exercise history and any past or present injuries. 

The next step would be to arrange your posture assessment, where precise measurements are taken over a 2 hour period. These results would then be tied together with your goals and form the basis of our initial training program. 

Additionally, a nutrition plan can be set, depending on your goals and outside of training with Richard, he is available to answer any questions and help with all of your health and fitness needs.

Thereafter, every 6 - 12 weeks whilst training with Richard, a re-assessment of your goals and progress will take place, followed by the setting of new targets. To help with this, regular fitness testing will be available, which can be minimal or extensive based on your needs and wishes. 

If you are new to exercise or personal training, you can rest assured that a pace which suits your abilities will be closely followed at all times, giving you more confidence all round.

Food Tracking & Weight Management

Track your way to success.

Tracking the food and drink you consume is the best way to achieve any goal that involves changing your weight.

We can’t talk about gaining muscle or fat loss goals, without at least talking about calories. This is the first of two plans Richard offers. The second plan involves tracking not only your calorie consumption but also the quantities of the 3 main food groups as well, fat, protein and carbohydrates.

Calorie Tracking

You could send photos and details of your meals so Richard can track your calorie intake or you can use an app to record them yourself, with Richard having access to the app to help manage your diet.

This calorie tracking plan is the minimum requirement for anyone that Richard works with, who has a weight loss or weight gain target.

Macronutrient Tracking

In addition to tracking the calories you consume, a more detailed plan involves calculating the ratios of the 3 main food groups. For example, a standard weight loss plan would normally involve eating;

Carbs - 10-30% of your daily calories consumed

Protein - 40-50% of your daily calories consumed

Fats - 30-40% of your daily calories consumed

The professional support Richard provides by managing this plan, takes the stress away so you can focus on working towards achieving your goals.

The other important consideration is knowing, how many calories per day you are burning. For both plans, the calorie tracker and macronutrient tracker, calories you expend in a day is also taken into account. This gives us the full picture and is one of the best ways to hit those targets.

  • Both plans include a monthly 15 minute zoom or phone call plus ongoing online support and exercise plans.

Nutrition For Your Metabolic Type

If you often feel unwell, tired or have interrupted sleep, I can help.

Richard has studied under the world-renowned health expert Paul Chek, which has given him the skills to identify which specific types of nutrition and exercises are helpful for you and which ones are not. 

In terms of nutrition that helps to support your health, it is believed that we are all best suited to predominantly be, 1 of 3 types of eaters:

  • Protein Type

  • Carb Type

  • Mixed Type

Eating right for your metabolic type means, you could have less illness, less stomach problems, better sleep and have more focus.

In addition, the questionnaires will estimate both the level and types of stress you may be under. For example, physical stress or nutritional stress are just two of six types of stress we would look at. Understanding in greater detail, which specific areas might be stressing your body, allows us to better target our remedial efforts.

These results, on top of every other assessment listed, would then help dictate our training and the nutrition plan we put into place, if you chose to personal train with Richard.

Supporting your health journey wherever you are.

Online coaching means you can access your personalised exercise & nutrition plan, tailored to your goals, as well as incorporate one to one zoom personal training sessions, from anywhere in the world.

After an initial phone consultation, discussing your exercise history, health targets and any injury considerations, we would go to work designing a program that best suits your needs, whilst accounting for the facilities that are available to you.

You can also switch between online and face to face personal training, as this is something that works well for many clients.
